Eczema on Fingers
Finger Tip Eczema
Are your fingers stiff and cannot bend or move due to a painful and burning sensation, or are they cracked and numb at the tips? Well, if this is the case, then you’re suffering from finger tips eczema. It’s not a contagious disorder and you can control it by keeping your skin lubricated. It can affect any one regardless of age or gender even though people with dry and sensitive skin are more prone. Sometimes it may not restrict its self to the fingers and may move to the rest of the body causing reddish coined sized patches on the skin.
To be honest, there’s no specific cure to this disorder. However, during the healing process the following changes may be observed. The skin starts peeling off and this goes on until the whole affected part peels off and there’s normally a tingling feeling in the affected areas. Nevertheless, when healed the finger retains a fresh and new look as before.
If you already have finger tip eczema, steps that can help in controlling will include; wiping your hands and making sure they are dry after washing them, if you’re required to put your hand regularly in water then you can use plastic or vinyl gloves and make sure you wear cotton gloves inside to soak the sweat and finally take breaks within your work to take off the gloves.
Other measures that can be taken to avoid finger tips eczema or any other type of eczema are as follows; avoiding harsh detergents for laundry, massaging the skin with moisturizers regularly, avoiding synthetic fabric clothing, maintaining normal temperature in the house, cars or office and using mild soaps.
