Bleach Treatment For Eczema
Eczema Treatment – Does Bleach Kill Dust Mites?
Depending on the kind of eczema that you have, dust mites can be your biggest eczema enemy. The people whose eczema is caused primarily by dust mites are able to see the vast majority of their eczema flare up problems go away when they treat their personal environments for the unseen terror.
It is true: in many instances where dust mites are active when they are treated for 85% of the problem is corrected. What you will find however is that although they may not be the primary cause of your problem; if you were to treat your surroundings for them, it will without doubt decrease and eradicate a known eczema allergen. This means that getting the dust mites out of your surroundings will help you if you have eczema.
The question on your mind when you came here was if bleach is able to kill dust mites. My first answer is dust mites do not drink liquids. For hydration purposes, they absorb humidity from the atmosphere. This means that they will not drink the bleach, so the bleach will not be able to kill them in that manner.
The next question would be then if the bleach can kill them by burning them up on contact like an acid burning through a piece of meat. Again the answer is no. The dust mite is a hardy creature. They can live through boiling temperatures for more than an hour without anything happening to them. Bleach is not a threat to dust mites.
As it stands right now, I can think of 12 things that you can do to get rid of dust mites, however bleaching them is not one of these options.
The question I want to ask you is why you would want to use bleach to get rid of dust mites anyway? Bleaching will destroy your soft fabrics, and these are the areas that need to be cleaned. These areas are the areas where the dust mites live. The way to approach these animals is to get rid of their food sources. After you have done this, you will have to be able to clean up or neutralize their dead bodies as well. If you kill the mites and their dead bodies are not removed, their ability to irritate you will linger.
